Friends are very important in life. Human beings are social creatures and sometimes your family is not enough to satisfy your friendship needs. It’s pretty important to have close friends throughout your life, particularly at different life stages.

It’s true that you have to be a great friend to have a great friends.

With that in mind, here are 7 Friends That You Should Have In Your Life:

1. The Cheerleader

The Cheerleader Friend is one that will support you and your dreams, no matter what. They are in your corner and are ready to cheer you on. Your Cheerleader is the one who is most likely to give you a pep talk when you’re feeling really down and need someone to remind you what a fantastic person you really are.

2. The Hipster

The Hipster Friend is one that is younger than you and knows all the latest trends, what’s in and what’s out for this year. This friend doesn’t make you feel old, but tells you what you need to know to keep up and be cool in today’s society. This is also the type of friend that you can tell stories about the time you were fashionable and they’ll get what you mean. They keep you in the know and make you feel young and hip.

3. The Mentor

The Mentor Friend is someone that you go to when you need advice. This friend always seems to know what you need to hear and when you need to hear it. They’ll tell you the truth about what works in the real world. They’ll guide you because they’ve been there and done that. They have your best interests at heart and don’t want you to go through the trials and tribulations that they did. They have some things all figured out and are all too happy to share with you their wisdom.

4. The Comedian

The Comedian Friend is the friend that you go to when you need a good belly laugh. They’ll brighten your day with the craziest stories that will have you hugging your sides from laughing so hard. They can make you laugh no matter what. Even if your aunt died that day. They’ll find something funny about every situation. And, since laughter really is the best medicine, after being your Comedian Friend you feel a lot better just by being with them.

5. The Pusher

The Pusher Friend is there for you when you need a push. There’s a little bit of tough love because The Pusher Friend knows that we will come up with all sorts of excuses, but they see right through our excuses. They make us go for things in life. Without the Pusher, maybe we wouldn’t have applied for that last promotion or the new job or bought the plane ticket and had a wonderful time on our last vacation. They push you to not be satisfied with the status quo.

6. The Translator

The Translator is the friend who’s of the opposite sex who only has the best platonic intentions for you. They’re able to translate the words and actions of the opposite sex for you when you have no clue what it all means. Because they are of the opposite sex, they’ll translate for you the men- and woman-speak for you. They help you navigate the waters with the opposite sex.

7. The Best Friend

Everyone needs a Best Friend in their life. This is the friend that sticks by you no matter what. Your Best Friend is the first person you call when you just got dumped and the only person you call to bail you out of jail because they will be there for you. Because they know that you are there for them, too. They’ll help you move, pick you up at the airport, remember your birthday every year and are always there for you. Your Best Friend knows you and you know them. Your best experiences in life are with your Best Friend.

We should all remember that our friends are very important in our lives, but in order to have a friend, you have to be a friend.
